I know it is agents the rules when writing to put “I think” or “I am going to tell you” in these sorts of things, but I’m going to ignore those rules because no one is going to read this anyway. If you’re reading this I am either dead or I don’t know you’re reading it.
I don’t know what I’m doing here, on earth. No wait I do, I just figured it out yesterday. I’m here to fellowship with the Lord. The whole point of life is relationships, without relationships we have nothing. What would life be without friends or family? Even if you had all the joys this world had to offer, what would it be worth if you had know one to share it with?
When you watch a movie and something funny happens, you don’t laugh as had or enjoy yourself as much when there is no one there to laugh with you. That, I think it why God created us, He wanted someone to laugh with. He wanted someone to love Him as much as He loved them.
Were would we be without love? Is not the whole point of life to find that “special someone” who will love you for the rest of their live? Is not the whole point of life to have friends to love and share memories with?
Some times people spend there entire lives looking for the point of live. That’s what I’ve done for the past fourteen years. For the longest time I would ask my mother “why?” she would get so tired of hearing me say “why” that finally, she would say “that’s just the way it is” or “because God mad it that way.” Finally after all the time I had spent saying “why” I found out why. I finally know the reason for everything, and the reason for everything is that God wants to love us, and he wants to be loved in return. That’s all there is to it. God mad everything because he wanted someone to love.
Any ways, here are some tips for when you’re in a hard situation and you have no clue what to do. First off, you need to pray. Praying if one of the great tools God freely gave us, so why don’t we not be rude and use the gift God gave us, huh?
Second, take a few steps back, fiscally or mentally. Look at what you’re doing. Look at it from a different perspective, try seeing things through others or even Gods eyes.
Third, after you’ve taken those steps back and seen it from a different perspective, make sure that what you’re doing is not completely stupid. Not to be rude but humans seem to get caught up in the moment a lot so you need to make sure that what your doing is not one of those times.
Forth, THINK! One of the best things you can do besides pray is think. You would be surprised at how much can be accomplished by thinking. When people get caught up in the moment they tend not to think. So when you think “my life is about to end” over some guy or girl, take a step back and think. I mean if the two of you broke up, something didn’t mix with at least one of you, so things would have ended up like crap in the long run anyways.
The reason I chose a dating relationship as an example, is that those sorts of things seem to be a biggy in the “problems” area. But these four simple steps work with just about anything, not just stupid dating problems.
Legalism, never ever get caught up in legalism. That’s something that can destroy you very quickly. Think about the church for example, the church is full of legalism. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Christian, but most of the church today gets caught up in tradition and ritual, and they completely miss the point.
For example, when praying, the Catholics they do that cross motion thing. That’s pure tradition (and actually that originally was a sign for a heathen god), and it takes away from the whole point, talking to God. They get so caught up in there tradition they forget that the whole point is to fellowship with God, not doing strange rituals to try and work your way into Heaven. It’s very simple, if you’ve read the Bible and not take things in a legalistic way, you will find that life should be very simple with absolutely no rituals at all.
Jesus told his disciples to love one another as he loved them, and he told them to spread the good news. This is just my opinion, but how good would the news be if it said you had to work your way to Heaven? I think that news would suck, I can’t even finish my homework how am I supposed to work my way to Heaven? But thankfully the news is NOT like that at all. The good news is that all you have to do to be saved from the depths of hell is to believe in Jesus as your Lord and savior, and accept the free gift he is trying to give you. That’s it; yeah I know that’s a lot more simple than most churches make it out to be. So don’t be legalistic, it makes you sound like a jerk.
Oh, here’s a good tip for life, don’t be stuck up. When you start to get a big head it doesn’t help your reputation, if you catch my drift. Now I’m not saying when people give you a complement to say “no, I’m not that good” or something like that, cause that makes you look stuck up too. Just say “thank you” and move on with life, don’t let the complement get to you. Stay on earth; don’t get your head stuck in the clouds.
Personal hygiene, now that’s a big one. When you get up in the morning (or at night it doesn’t matter), take a shower, not only for yourself but for others. And when you take your showers, make sure you use soup, it helps, really.
Brush your teeth, and if you have braces brush them after every meal. Dentists tell you to do that for a reason, it keeps you from looking like a toothless termite when you get old (in some cases people loose there teeth at a young age, so brush those pearly whites!). Basically do all those things the dentists tell you to do, its good for you.
“Water off a ducks back.” My dad always says. Leave the past in the past, don’t hold on to the mean things people say or do to you. Let those evil words they said roll out of your mind, like water rolls of a ducks back. Make sure you let those things go. One thing you should never do is take out your anger and hatred on the ones you love; really you should never take out your anger on anyone but especially the ones you love. That’s one of the worst mistakes you can make. Although you don’t mean to hurt the ones you love sometimes you do, so you need to be shy of taking anger out on them, it hurts them…it really does.
Don’t make fun of people (I need to work on that). What you sow you will also reap. If you sow evil words, you will reap evil words. It’s the same with acts as well…it’s the same with everything really. Some times I think people say mean things about me because I said something mean to them, but then I looked down at the way I dress, and it hits me, people don’t like kids that wear black clothes. Even if the kid is nice and tells them every time they see them “Your hair looks great today, and I love your earrings!” They still seem to talk behind your back and say, “That girl is a little witch, don’t let your children around her. She’ll turn them into devils!” So sometimes when people are mean to you, it’s not just because you where mean to them, they where just trying to find something to hate, and you seemed like a good target, I guess. But other times it is your fault. Some times you do provoke it, so don’t think you’re innocent all the time, cause your not.
My grandmother was just talking to my about all the different kinds of churches and she just said “Just love God for Heaven sake!” I think she is completely right. Why don’t we stop getting caught up in all the different names for different churches and get back in the word. Just stick to the basics! “Just love God for Heaven sake!” that’s it! Why is that so hard to understand? It doesn’t matter if you’re a Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, or even a “Calvary Chapelite” all that matters is that that you love God and have Faith in Jesus to save you from Hell. Why cant people get that through their thick heads? God made salvation simple so that we could actually get it. I can barley get all my Home work done on time, I can’t imagine trying to gain my way into heaven be being Perfect in every way shape and form. I just couldn’t do it, but thankfully God made it simple for our tiny, little, brains, so I don’t have to work for salvation, I just have to have faith in Jesus.
